27 Point Vehicle Inspection
Keeping You and Your Car or Pickup Safe
With every oil change or other scheduled service that we do on your car, a twenty-seven point courtesy inspection included.
We check: belts, hoses, air filters, fluid levels in the cooling system, power steering, windshield washer and brake fluid reservoir as well as the condition of the brakes and the general condition of the undercarriage for any damage along with the CV boots, axles, suspension, and exhaust system.
During the courtesy inspection, we act as your eyes, checking under the hood and under the car, working to keep you and your car safe, and well maintained.
Naturally, at Martin Motors, we can provide the 30/60/90/120,000 mile regularly scheduled maintenance recommended by the auto manufacturer. We are trained and certified to do all of the manufacturer's scheduled service. Your warranty will stay in effect and we can probably save you some money over what the dealer would charge you.
Why Inspections are Important
First of all, the regularly scheduled maintenance on a vehicle (the most frequent of which is oil changes) I recommended at 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first.
Oil is the life blood of the engine, when it gets dirty it isn't as effective at preventing engine wear. Oil itself doesn't necessarily wear out; it gets dirty, and it can get dirty even when your car is not being driven very often, of course it gets dirty under normal and severe driving conditions.
Spokane and Eastern Washington are considered areas with severe driving conditions. We have low temperatures in the winter time; a lot of short trips in town in sub-freezing temperatures are hard on the engine and the oil. High temperatures in the summer time are also hard on the oil and we have the added problem of high levels of dust and other particulates that find their way into the engine.
So, changing the oil every 3000 miles or 90 days is an inexpensive way to provide your car with one of the most important services that increases the life of the engine.
